Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect
When you create an account: your email address and name. When you use the platform: tickers you analyze, watchlist contents, saved analyses, portfolio positions you manually enter, and alert preferences. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe — Voltiq only stores your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. Broker integration is not currently available.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to: provide and improve the Voltiq service, send you personalized morning digests and alerts (if enabled), process payments, respond to support requests, and send product updates. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a GDPR-compliant database provider hosted on AWS in the United States. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256 and TLS 1.2+.
4. Cookies
Voltiq uses essential cookies only — these are required for login sessions to function. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can choose "Essential only" on the cookie banner to disable analytics tracking. If you select "Accept," anonymous usage analytics are collected via PostHog to help us improve the product.
5. Third-Party Services
Voltiq uses the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), SendGrid (transactional emails), PostHog (analytics, optional), Anthropic (AI explanations, Plus and Pro plans). Each provider has their own privacy policy governing their data handling.
6. Data Retention
Active accounts: data is retained indefinitely while your account is active. Deleted accounts: data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by law.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, export your data, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, email privacy@voltiqfinance.com.
8. Children
Voltiq is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice.
